The job:
As a Payroll / HR Officer you are responsible for the quality of reward information and timely payment of salaries in the European countries (Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, UK, France, Switzerland and Austria) and you support the HR department with the HR and salary administration, correspondence, post etc.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide optimal administrative assistance to ensure quality and effectiveness.
  • Prepare employees’ compensation by the end of each month using payroll software systems.
  • Consult with HR advisors concerning HR and payroll issues.
  • Create, maintain and update staff records.
  • Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations.
  • Answer questions about compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions.
  • Ensure a complete and up to date payroll system.
  • Check and process the data supplied by HR and the business.
  • Ensure correct mutation processing in function of salary payments.
  • Check the payroll output and monitor the processed data in relation to the input.
  • Process payments and staging in the payment systems.
  • Pro-active support the HR department in relevant HR data and information.
  • Responsible for up to date and correct/complete personal files and registration in the personnel information system.
  • Acts as first point of contact for employees and managers and consults more complex matters with the appropriate HR staff.
  • Assist the HR department with special projects, and related activities.
  • Check and amend contracts, dealing with general payroll related queries from managers and employees, both by phone and email in consultation with HR Advisors.

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor degree, preferably in Payroll / HR or relevant field
  • 2 years’ experience in payroll/HR role
  • Hands on experience with HRIS and payroll systems
  • Accurate and strong math skills
  • Good knowledge of labor legislation
  • Time management skills
  • Proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication skill both verbal and in writing in English
