Assistant Merchandiser

We’re looking for an Assistant Merchandiser that lives and breathes the surf and snow lifestyle ready for the challenge of working with the world’s first surf company.

The role:

As Assistant Merchandiser you will be the responsible merchandise planner and allocator for a selected number of online and offline customers. You will work closely with the key account managers and the team responsible for market place support. As your colleagues are located all over Europe, communication and working in a structured way should be your second nature. Requirements :

  • 1-2 years experience in a merchandising and/or planning environment;
  • Communication skills oral and written in English and preferably in German 
  • BA degree in Business Administration, Textiles or equivalent.

What you can do:

  • Pre-season development of channel budgets in cooperation with Finance and Retail/Sales Management
  • Pre-season build seasonal Assortment Plans with the Buyer/Account Manager covering intake flow / input moments, quantities per option and distribution / allocation plans per store grade.
  • Pre-Season implementation of initial allocation plans for retail / consignment customers.
  • In-season provide weekly reporting to team members and management.
  • In-season monitoring of budgets together with Buyer/Account Manager and adjust plans and forecasts.
  • In-season monitoring of stock levels and intake and drive the process of OTB management.
  • In-season ensure proper replenishment to stores.
  • In-season lead and execute seasonal clearance / sale strategies per channel / country.
  • Ongoing contribution to improve working processes and tools within the team and the company.
