We are looking for a Digital Product Specialist to join our O’Neill team that lives and breathes the surf and snow lifestyle ready for the challenge of working with the world’s first surf company.


Your Role
As our new Digital Product Specialist you Identify new ways to improve our customer’s shopping experience on digital platforms (website, desktop, mobile, i-pad, apps, etc.), to create the most usable and engaging customer experience possible. Is responsible as product manager for all projects that require developments on the digital platforms within the E-Commerce team and beyond. Combines technical expertise and ideas from the team to enhance the business of E-Commerce. The digital products enhance the customer experience, conversion rate, sales and reflect the brand image and meet the brand requirements.

Your responsibilities

As Digital Product Specialist you are responsible for an efficient project management on the full life cycle of digital products within the E-Commerce team. This includes:

  • The creation, following and adjusting of a full development roadmap. Projects are prioritized in order to fulfil business expectations (business case analysis and approval);
  • Leading the project meetings and keeping the project team motivated and focused on delivering value;
  • Leading the ideation process with the team is lead and the validation with the managers;
  • Translating ideas into products that are technically developed;
  • Executing communication with stakeholders and managing expectations;
  • Briefing of external parties and managing the technical development;
  • Testing the solutions;
  • Implementing and launching the product in time, and in specific for seasonal campaigns;
  • Executing continuous improvement. The project coordinators are managed in order to follow project status and constantly improve the product;
  • Communicating the ongoing development journey and informing all relevant parties within the process of launching the product.
Moreover, as our digital product specialist you will adopt, develop and deploy scalable and appropriate digital platforms solutions. Your tasks will be to:
  • Spot and identify digital trends and technical possibilities. Innovation is brought into the shopping experience;
  • Prioritize business ideas and needs for changes and transferring them into functional recommendations and clear IT briefing;
  • Leveraging functionality or knowledge from other products and programs in order to be updated in terms of innovations;
  • Functionally align with E-Com, Marketing, Business Intelligence & Development
Also, you will be responsible for the complete testing of all developed units and components, so that:
  • The testing is coordinated in collaboration with the external partner or in house;
  • A test plan is created in which all developed features and the stability of the website is tested and a test report is written.
  • Bugs are monitored and identified and website functionality is smooth (loading times etc.);
  • Tickets are created and managed, the external party is informed and bugs are fixed;
  • Relevant files are documented.


Your Experience
As our new Digital Product Specialist you are having the following educational background:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science
  • 2-3 years relevant experience in a similar role
  • Expertise in project management as well as website/digital development and technical architecture of complex digital solutions

Also, you are very ambitious to always stay on top of the newest digital/technical developments.
